Overview / Problem
The Pivvit platform was created to connect users with local businesses and nonprofits in their area (starting with the Washington, DC area where the company is based). Users can shop local deals while donating to charities of their choice. Businesses can also support nonprofits by displaying them on their business pages so that users knew which nonprofits they were supporting.
My job was to design a way for users to view and find campaigns from nonprofits that were important to them and create a way for users to see notifications based on the businesses and nonprofits that they were following.
Solution and Key Takeaways
Through the nonprofit campaign page, users were able to see events for that nonprofit near them so that they can get involved
Users can see the progress of the campaign and can donate to that campaign directly on the page
Users can search and find businesses in their area and view their pages to find deals and to see which nonprofits the business was supporting
I also designed a robust notification and alerts system that users can sort and filter through. This notification panel allowed users to see important information regarding purchases, donations and events alerts for the businesses, nonprofits and othe users that they were following
